Must be 18+ at Hy-Vee. Our people are our strength, and we promise to provide a helpful smile in every aisle. This role requires prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, teamwork, and adherence to department and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in/out of the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Loads and unloads delivery vehicle with orders.
• Breaks down and unloads truck orders and stocks shelves.
• Delivers products to customers and collects payment.
• Writes and reviews merchandise orders.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Works Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday shifts (8:00AM-12:00PM).
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.

• Must have ability to solve practical problems, variety of variables with limited standardization.
• Must have ability to do math involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical requirements include visual requirements, ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
• Must be physically able to enter and exit a delivery vehicle many times a day, traverse staircases and other rough terrain to reach delivery destination.
• Must have a valid driver's license, with no DOT restrictions, and be 18 years or older to drive a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hy-Vee policies and procedures.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
