About the role
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking a Senior AI Tech Consultant to join our Tech Advisory and Delivery (TAD) Chapter within BCG Platinion. This role offers end-to-end responsibility for an individual "module" within a BCG client engagement, focusing on digital transformation through AI and data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for digital transformation, including data and digital analytics platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data management capabilities.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their issues and create actionable recommendations, ensuring buy-in and successful implementation.
- Apply generalist consulting skills to strategic digital and technology questions, leveraging expertise in areas such as AI, data platforms, ML Ops, and observability.
- Guide teams in configuring, evaluating, and operationalizing AI systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability of AI solutions.
- Advise clients on AI cost management and optimization, balancing scalability, performance, and business value.
- Lead enterprise technology stack assessments and define target-state architectures across business domains, shaping platform strategy and design aligned to end-to-end business value chains.
- Own transformation roadmaps, sequencing initiatives across near-term delivery and long-term platform evolution, translating business strategy into coherent technical execution plans.
- Drive program execution and change leadership, including stakeholder alignment, training, adoption, and benefits realization.
- Manage large-scale ERP and IT projects, overseeing quality assurance, deployment, and all other key SDLC activities.
- Present materials, case updates, and escalations to client and internal teams, facilitating technical and strategic working sessions and workshops.
- Provide quality assurance oversight, reviewing junior team members' output for correctness, level of insight, clarity of message, etc.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, helping them structure their work and associated analyses, and providing opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, computer science, economics, supply chain, logistics, system engineering, business management/administration, or a relevant field.
- 4+ years of practical experience in IT/ERP consulting, professional software development, product and program implementation.
- Prior experience with at least one of the following: Custom software solutions, E-commerce platforms, Cloud platforms, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle (Financials, NetSuite, Fusion, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, etc.).
- Exceptional learning and ramp-up skills, especially on IT topics such as data and digital platforms.
- Excellence in written communication, presenting materials, and synthesizing wide-ranging conversations, artifacts, and best practices into clear, action-oriented recommendations.
- Ability to manage junior team members, provide quality assurance oversight, and serve as a role model by actively demonstrating and living BCG's Culture and Values.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in supporting digital transformation efforts, including data and digital analytics platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data management capabilities.
- Experience with a wide breadth of tech/digital offerings, such as developing roadmaps and current state assessments for IT organizations, orchestrating technical program delivery, IT benchmarking, and recommendations for IT cost take-out initiatives.
- Knowledge of advanced planning systems and agentic AI for supply chain, including designing and implementing feasibility studies, recommending various software and platforms vendors, and managing large-scale ERP and IT projects.
- Strong written communication skills, including creating client-specific strategic materials, synthesizing insights, and contributing to thought leadership through written publications and speaking engagements.
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills, including presenting materials, facilitating technical and strategic working sessions, and providing direction on key work items and feedback to other team members.
- Team management experience, including managing junior team members, providing quality assurance oversight, and serving as a role model by actively demonstrating and living BCG's Culture and Values.
