BC Seasonal Swim Instructor

About the role

JC Aquatics is a creative team located near the Santa Monica Pier. We offer private and group swim lessons, including preparation for water polo teams, and participate in summer open water events. Meals are provided, and the break room offers ocean views.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a growing Aquatics program
• Teach private and group swim lessons
• Work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends
• Assist with lifeguarding duties as needed
• Participate in in-service trainings

Requirements

• 3 years of competitive swim team experience or equivalent
• Aquatic-related sports or experience working with kids preferred
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification required
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and with a team
• Confident with managing children at different swim levels
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds overhead
• Calm and effective response to emergencies
• Flexible availability to work weekends
