Position Overview
Employment Type: Hospital Employed, on-site only
Schedule / Hours: weekends, weekdays, holiday and vacation coverage
Practice Setting: Inpatient Acute General and Inpatient Autism Units ages 6 -17 and RTC units ages 7 -17
Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary with BC Psychiatrists, BH Techs, BH RN, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers, and Therapists
EMR / Technology: HCS
Responsibilities
- Admission evaluations and assessments
- Managing treatment teams
- Oversight of discharge processes
- Performing related administrative tasks
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff
- Document care using HCS

Position Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with one of the accredited National Certification Organizations (ANCC, AANP)
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Five (5) years of experience in the area of child psychiatry with proficiency in treating autism spectrum disorders
- Unencumbered State of GA Licensed NP, expertise, or interest, in treating patients with mental illness and addictive disorders preferred
- Ideal candidate will be dual Boarded as Family Nurse Practitioner
