Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Removes and disassembles cells and inspect parts to detect defects.
- Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch.
- Attaches charger leads to battery posts or connector and starts charger.
- Reads meters and adjusts charge parameters to control time and flow of current through battery.
- Prepare new product for shipment.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Performs warehouse maintenance/housekeeping.
- Provides back up coverage for material handling/staging and other warehousing tasks when assigned.
- Maintains telephone, Microsoft Teams chat, email communication with supervisor to receive pickup and delivery instructions.
- Prepare daily orders for shipment using standard work instructions to gather, verify, consolidate, stage, and load finished goods orders.
- Prepare bill of lading, pack list, and enter shipment information.
- Prioritize daily work assignments and resolve shipping issues with management assistance.
- Coordinate receipt, filing and labeling accuracy of inbound bill of lading/pack slip documents and physical inventory in the receiving process.
- Prepare shipping documents when applicable, including out-of-country shipments.
- Absolutely ensure required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; or industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use computer systems including ERP, inventory control and MS office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
- A basic mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience working with hand and power tools.
- Able to read and comprehend manuals, procedures, and other written documents written in English.
- Driving Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to drive a company vehicle. Able to operate a lift truck; and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license.
