Battery R&D Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead and support R&D programs to develop next generation Li-ion technologies
- Prepare proposals, program reports and review presentations
- Design and develop battery and battery pack/module mechanical layout
- Design thermal management strategies and support thermal analysis
- Support system integration and validation through experimental design and simulations
- Define, establish and execute experimental plans to evaluate battery design
- Produce drawings, fabrication packages, assembly and test procedures and other documentation related to mechanical design
- Analyze data and clearly communicate results to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field, with 3+ years of experience in the battery field
- Proficient with CAD programs such as SolidWorks
- Background in experimental design, data collection and analysis
- Excellent English written and oral communication
- Leadership experience in technical programs is preferred
Pay
The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $85K – $98K. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, education, and specialized skills.
