Battery Preventive Maintenance Person, AM - Jacksonville

About the role

Performing preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; repair manuals; factory specifications; and his or her own knowledge of the powered industrial equipment batteries.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries
• Avoid violating federal, state, and local regulations
• Repair and replace batteries as needed
• Assist in other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old or at least 19 years old for positions in Alabama
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
• Successfully complete the following tests (before start date in the position): Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude, Ability to Interpret, Understand, and Follow Instructions, Ability to Generate and Process Work on a Computerized Maintenance-Management System, Ability to Work Well with Others and Be a Team Member, Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment, Excellent Attendance and Punctuality, Willingness and Ability to Advance, Excellent Verbal and Written Skills, Strong Problems-Solving Skills, Self-Motivated Individual, Safe Work Habits, Obvious Enthusiasm, Initiative, and Pride in Work, and Commitment to Publix and our mission

Qualifications

• Current Industrial Maintenance associate preferred
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before start date in the position
