Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Follows all established safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) for area assigned, company policies and procedures and recognized practices.
- Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, and other electrical components.
- Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
- Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems, Servos, Drives and Robotic Controllers.
- Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
- Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
Experience, Educational And Technical Qualifications
- Possesses a two-year Associates degree in electrical related field; and other technical certifications and training applicable to industrial maintenance electrical system in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of four-five years industrial maintenance electrician experience.

Climbing Physical Activity Required

- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist.
Reaching Physical Activity Required
- Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
Lifting Physical Activity Required
- Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
Environmental Working Conditions
- Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Subject to extreme heat temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour.
- Subject to noise.
- Subject to vibrations.
- Subject to being exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, etc.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions, i.e. fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
- Subject to oils.
- Subject to air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
