Battery Assembly

About the role

The Battery Assembly Production Operator is responsible for assembling a variety of component parts into cells or cell packs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is open to both temporary and permanent employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain "6-S" principles in all areas of the facility, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, and other related tasks.
• Transport cells to the warehouse from the factory and handle items outside, potentially in inclement weather.
• Work in multiple areas such as Battery or Cell Finishing.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
• Operate a variety of equipment to assemble components into cells and battery packs.
• Write and key in data from production builds into the computer system.

Requirements

• High school education or GED required.
• Vocational education exposure preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to see and differentiate colors, pass a color blindness test, and wear safety glasses.
• Must be able to lift trays of cells/batteries and sit or stand for up to 50% of the work time.
• Must possess the ability to perform close attention to detail and work with precision equipment requiring close tolerances.
• Manufacturing experience is highly desired.

• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
