About the role
This position is responsible for constant monitoring of the batter system. It requires the ability to operate and troubleshoot the batter equipment. This position is also responsible for maintaining the flume additives and for monitoring the starch slurry system.
Responsibilities
- Understands how to look up QA Specifications for batter.
- Understands product codes and labels on batter tickets and how to use manifest to track inventory.
- Safely opens, handles and hangs batter bags.
- Maintains dry batter hopper and auger levels as needed.
- Assembles/Disassembles batter equipment when needed.
- Maintains expected level of sanitation in work area.
- Fills out paperwork as required.
- Maintains a good understanding of chemicals and the hazards associated with the processing area.
- Performs assigned duties during cut changes and defrost as required.
- Cleans under and around batter mix areas, and additive areas.
- Willing to learn additional Operator roles, in addition to job responsibilities for breaking purposes.
Requirements
- Basic & Preferred Education/ Certifications:
- A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required.
Qualifications
- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.
- Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
- Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral.
Skills
- Basic & Preferred Education/ Certifications:
