Bath Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for a Bath Aide – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform a combination of duties in caring for residents in the center, consistent with the plan of care and established long-term care standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct resident showers as directed by clinical leadership
• Document resident/care notes in Point of Care (POC) system/Point Click Care (PCC)
• Answer signal lights
• Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toiletry, and oral hygiene activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Serve and collect food trays and feed residents requiring help
• Transport residents, using wheelchair or wheeled cart, or assist residents to walk
• Turn and reposition residents, alone or with assistance
• Take and record vital signs, food and fluid intake and output, and weight, as directed
• Complete documentation

Qualifications

• Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of employment
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to work well in a team setting
