Batching Systems Automation Technician

We are seeking a Batching Systems Automation Technician to install, configure, maintain, and support industrial automation systems used in animal production operations, primarily dairy and feedlot environments. Key responsibilities include supporting PLC-based control systems, integrating automation with equipment like scales and pumps, troubleshooting hardware, software, and electrical issues, and supporting system updates and software deployments. Applicants should have an Associate’s degree or technical training in electrical, automation, or related fields, with 1-3 years of experience in automation, electrical systems, or agricultural operations. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software, electrical wiring, communication networks, and software systems (Linux, SQL, Java) is required. Additional skills include delivering customer training, supporting system audits, and working safely in industrial environments. Frequent travel to rural sites and participation in on-call support are expected. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, bilingual skills, and experience with livestock operations or industrial communications. Key competencies involve problem-solving, independent work, strong communication, and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and safety awareness are essential.
