About the Role
Able and available to perform all processing positions in the absence of the operator who normally performs the job. This includes Separation Operator, RO Milk Operator, Membrane Operator, Batching Operator, VTIS Operator, and CIP Operator.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Tetra Almix and batching systems in the processing area safely and sanitarily, following all GMPs, including recipe selection and target quantity for the batch.
- Take samples to the lab for testing and perform final batch calculations.
- Lift and dump 50 lb bags.
- Monitor and maintain process controls of heat exchangers, document accurate recordings of process parameters.
- Clean processing equipment, including hand cleaning parts, clean-in-place (CIP), and clean out of place (COP) operations daily.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Proficiency in English: comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
- Basic computational skills and simple math reasoning required.
- Ability to operate equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
- Must work safely, efficiently, and follow all safety procedures, including using safety equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot small problems and discern when issues require input from higher authority.
- Willingness to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The work environment includes ambient temperatures as well as elevated temperatures up to 110 degrees due to equipment operation and cleaning.
Food Safety Requirements
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy in Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer, and/or Government standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Initiate action to prevent nonconformities relating to Food Safety, product quality, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the quality of ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until deficiencies are corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume duties and responsibilities.

Pay
Base pay range: $27—$27 USD per hour. This position is eligible for bonus.
Schedule
Non-Exempt (hourly). Minimal travel required.
Position location: Coopersville, MI. Reports to: Processing Supervisor.
