Responsibilities
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of all batching kits before they are shipped to the main plant, ensuring ingredient quantities and documentation meet specifications.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy for batching materials and customer products by performing checks, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Support the coordination, monitoring, and testing of all vendors to ensure their products meet established quality and compliance expectations.
- Aid manufacturing teams in designing, improving, and enhancing quality management systems to support overall regulatory and quality compliance.
- Act as a liaison for batching-related compliance issues and communicate findings as needed.
- Perform organoleptic analysis of supplied ingredients to assess sensory attributes such as appearance and aroma in accordance with quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report any non-conformance or deviation from specifications or procedures to the appropriate personnel.
- Understand and follow all quality standards and expectations related to the position and the products being handled.
- Report any waste, inefficiency, or poor conservation practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Proactively look for opportunities to improve practices and processes within your role and share ideas with your immediate supervisor.
- Understand all safety requirements of the position before starting any job and ensure these requirements are consistently followed.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines established by the company, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
- Conduct manufacturing line audits and line checks to verify adherence to quality, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
- Use SAP or other inventory management systems, as applicable, to support inventory control, documentation, and traceability.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in laboratory, quality, and production systems, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with laboratory, production, and compliance teams to support aseptic techniques, QC checks, and quality control processes.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required by supervisors or internal customers to support quality and batching operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work night shift hours from approximately 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a rotating schedule.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and thorough records.
- Good math skills to verify ingredient quantities and perform batching-related calculations.
- Good reasoning and problem-solving skills to identify issues and support corrective actions.
- Able to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfort with regular computer use, including data entry, documentation, and use of portals.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other basic office software.
- Understanding of basic quality control concepts, including line checks, line inspections, and QC checks.
- Experience with laboratory procedures, accurate record keeping, and documentation in QC or related fields.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and/or HACCP regulations.
- Experience conducting manufacturing line audits, line checks, and line inspections.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report non-conformances, quality issues, and improvement ideas.
- Ability to collaborate across production, quality, and compliance teams in a manufacturing setting.
