About the role

The Batcher II prepares and mixes ingredients to produce finished syrup for KDP’s beverage line while upholding high safety and quality standards. This role contributes to manufacturing process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times
  • Understand and help drive improvements to quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Collaborate with production team members to maintain continuous flow of syrup to the lines
  • Mix and blend ingredients to create various batches
  • Learn to safely and efficiently operate batching equipment including setup, operation, and sanitization
  • Ensure food safety through quality checks and accurate record keeping
  • Inventory and control ingredients and receive sugar
  • Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas
  • Demonstrate KDP values: Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless, and Fair

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to learn about processing equipment
  • Mechanical understanding and food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn to operate a forklift safely around pedestrians
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate, problem solve, and remain flexible
  • Comfort with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn production software
  • Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions

Schedule

Full-time position working 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotation. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Pay

Starting pay at $27.43 per hour. After six months, the rate increases to $28.91 per hour.
