Batch Plant Operator

About the role
The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment, operating the batch plant and placing concrete safely and accurately to maintain efficient and quality production.
Responsibilities
- Operates Mixer Machine and Batch Plant (Command Alkon)
- Uses overhead crane to pour concrete
- Notify supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine, materials, etc.
- Communicate production issues with other employees and supervisors
- Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Understand and apply safe use and operation of the equipment and communicates with other employees about safety-related matters
Requirements
- Knowledge of concrete fundamentals (preferred)
- Concrete finishing experience (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience running a batch plant (preferred)
- Experience operating Command Alkon (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
