About the role

The Base Maintenance Planner plans scheduled maintenance to reduce the impact of aircraft maintenance, maximizing event yields while minimizing downtime and cost.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and publish the long-term base maintenance plan (0 to 12 months) that meets operational needs while maximizing yield, reducing cost, and providing maximum aircraft availability.
- Plan and schedule both short- and long-term maintenance requirements, including time-limited component changes, in close coordination with Line Planning to address Deferred Maintenance Items.
- Develop work packages for NetJets designated Maintenance Base Stations, considering factors such as maintenance skills, tools, materials, available man-hours, and ground time.
- Act as a single point of contact for coordination with designated Base Stations to ensure aircraft requiring maintenance tasks are properly planned and communicated with third-party maintenance providers.
- Review scheduled maintenance programs for opportunities to improve planning, such as task escalation, optimizing repairs, and fleet campaigns.
- Monitor inspection interval utilization, communicate, and resolve potential scheduling conflicts with Master Schedulers.
- Carry out aircraft improvements in accordance with warranty coverage and provide feedback on fleet compliance and inspection programs.
- Complete additional projects, campaigns, and initiatives as required to enhance company or department goals that directly affect financial and operational metrics.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Aviation.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (desirable but not required).
- 4-year college degree in a business or aviation-related field (desirable but not required).
Skills
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, Business Objects, Maintenance Manuals, Planning & Forecasting Techniques, and the NetJets Maintenance tracking system.
