BAS System Specialist - Tampa

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and service Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in HVAC controls, DDC systems, and building automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and commission BAS/DDC control systems and field devices.
• Troubleshoot HVAC controls, controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, service calls, and system repairs.
• Read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans to support installation and troubleshooting.
• Work directly with customers to resolve issues and optimize system performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems or HVAC Controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, DDC controls, and low-voltage wiring.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based control networks preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
