BAS Service Technician
About the Role
EMCOR Services Automated Controls, a division of DeBra-Kuempel, is seeking a BAS Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning of building automation systems while supporting customers on-site and remotely. This role manages service documentation, contract hours, and customer communication to ensure efficient system performance. The ideal candidate has strong controls experience, technical expertise, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled controls preventative maintenance for various building automation systems.
- Perform technical startup, checkout, and commissioning of building automation systems.
- Perform service call troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of building automation systems.
- Provide remote support for building automation customers.
- Manage estimated preventative maintenance hours on assigned contracts.
- Log maintenance tasks via building automation system.
- Complete service ticket reports for all preventative maintenance accounts and T&M projects.
- Coordinate with Service Team Lead for proposals or extra work required.
- Communicate with customers on tasks completed and hours spent.
- Acquire service ticket signatures as required.
- Maintain all safety standards and compliance documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- MET Technical Degree, MES Journeyman, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years related experience in controls/mechanical industry.
- Controls service experience preferred.
- Mechanical service experience preferred.
- Service estimation experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, JCI, and other control systems preferred.
- Knowledge of the controls service industry and contract documentation.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
- Familiarity with building automation software & applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Familiarity with construction/maintenance tracking software.
- Excellent customer relations and communications skills.
- Self-motivated, goal and results-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High standards of quality with attention to detail.
- Efficient at scheduling and meeting commitments for multiple customers.

Pay
Anticipated base hourly pay in the range of $38.00–$45.00, with final compensation determined by factors such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions.
