About the role
A leading energy management, temperature controls, and systems integration company seeks a BAS Project Manager in Central Massachusetts. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on building automation experience ready to step into project leadership, blending project management, customer interaction, and technical problem-solving from kickoff through project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage building automation and controls projects from startup through closeout
- Coordinate field technicians, programmers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation
- Track project schedules, budgets, and milestones
- Assist with system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed
- Coordinate project documentation, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates
- Support owner training and project turnover activities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or a related field
- Previous hands-on experience as a BAS Technician, Systems Specialist, Programmer, or Controls Engineer
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and BAS integrations
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Niagara, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Automated Logic, or similar BAS platforms
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation protocols
- Experience supporting commercial, healthcare, education, life sciences, or industrial facilities
- Exposure to commissioning, startup, and customer training
