BAS Operator/Control Tech

Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of building controls and automation systems.
• Diagnose control system concerns to ensure occupancy comfort.
• Troubleshoot local controllers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules.
• Ensure proper set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation are correctly programmed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as point-to-point checkout, sensor calibration, and software backup.
• Maintain focus on energy management while ensuring overall occupancy comfort.
• Interact with building occupants in person and over the phone.
• Identify opportunities to conserve building energy related to HVAC systems.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or informal education/training ensuring ability to read and write at a level necessary for job performance.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building controls and automation.
• Certification as a building automation system operator (Siemens APOGEE, BACnet) or MD/DC Stationary Engineer license (Level 1 or Level 3).
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of using laptops and stationary computers to operate building automation systems.
• Ability to use control technician hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.

Pay

US $49.12 per hour
