BAS Installation Lead

We need to output HTML fragment with sections for headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use
for each heading only if there is real specific content. Must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, remove boilerplate, navigation, EEO, etc. Must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Must only include sections when posting has real specific content.
We need to parse the posting.
Content:
- Intro paragraph: "Together We Build – Partnership, Innovation, Excellence, and Safety At Kelso Industries, 4,000+ employees across 40+ companies work together to deliver exceptional HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions nationwide. Join us to grow your career, make an impact, and be part of a team where innovation, excellence, and safety come first. Recruiter Notice: We respectfully ask external recruiters and staffing agencies not to submit candidates. We only accept direct applications."
- Then job title: "Controls Install Lead / Working Supervisor Together We Build – Partnership | Innovation | Excellence | Safety Join the growing KBS Building Automation team! Kelso Building Services (KBS) is seeking a highly motivated Building Automation and Controls Install Lead / Working Supervisor. This position is ideal for an experienced BAS installer or low-voltage electrical professional who enjoys leading field crews while remaining hands-on in the installation and startup process. The ideal candidate will have strong field installation experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), controls wiring, conduit installation, panel mounting, and startup support, along with the leadership skills necessary to manage and mentor installation teams in the field. This role will work closely with project management, engineering, programming, and commissioning teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and at a high level of quality. At KBS, we're committed to equipping our team with the tools, training, and support needed to excel. Our culture is rooted in integrity, innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences—giving you the opportunity to build a rewarding career in a growing and fast-moving industry."
- Then "Field Installation & Technical Duties" list.
- Then "Leadership & Supervisory Duties" list.
- Then "Qualifications" list.
- Then "Preferred Experience" list.
- Then "What KBS Offers" list.
- Then "Ideal Candidate This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who ..." paragraph.
- Then "Why Join Kelso Industries?" paragraph with bullet-like sentences.
- Then EEO statement at end: "Kelso Industries celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate..." This is EEO boilerplate; must be removed.
Also need to remove recruiter notice? The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." Recruiter notice about external recruiters is not exactly EEO but maybe considered a notice; but it's not application instructions. It says "We respectfully ask external recruiters and staffing agencies not to submit candidates. We only accept direct applications." That's a recruiter notice; could be considered a notice but not exactly application instructions. Might be considered boilerplate? The instruction says remove application instructions. This is a notice to recruiters, not exactly application instructions for candidates. Might keep? Safer to remove? It's not about applying; it's a note to recruiters. Might be considered boilerplate but not explicitly listed. I'd keep it? The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." This is not exactly those categories. I'd keep it as a short paragraph maybe under About the role? But we need to decide sections.
We need to produce sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We have content for:
- About the role: could be the introductory paragraphs describing the company and role.
- Responsibilities: combine Field Installation & Technical Duties and Leadership & Supervisory Duties.
- Requirements: Qualifications list (5+ years experience etc.)
- Skills: maybe Preferred Experience list (platforms) plus maybe other skills like OSHA certification, driver's license, etc. Could also include "Strong organizational and communication skills" etc. But those are in Qualifications. Might separate.
- Benefits: What KBS Offers list.
- Pay: Not explicitly stated; only "Competitive compensation based on experience". That's vague; we should not create Pay section unless posting actually states them. It says "Competitive compensation based on experience" - that's not a specific number or range, but it's a statement about compensation. The instruction: "never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them." It does state "Competitive compensation based on experience". That is a statement about compensation, albeit vague. Should we include Pay section? The instruction says "never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them." It does state something about compensation, albeit not specific. I'd argue we can include a Pay section with that statement. However, they also say "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." Might be okay to include Pay with that line.
- Schedule: Not mentioned. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule section.
- Skills: Could combine Preferred Experience and maybe some skills like OSHA 10/30, driver's license, ability to read drawings, etc. But those are already in Qualifications. Might be better to have Qualifications cover experience and requirements, Skills cover technical skills like platforms, conduit bending, etc. Let's decide.
We need to preserve all substantive information. So we must include all points.
Let's extract:
About the role / company description:
- Together We Build – Partnership, Innovation, Excellence, and Safety At Kelso Industries, 4,000+ employees across 40+ companies work together to deliver exceptional HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions nationwide. Join us to grow your career, make an impact, and be part of a team where innovation, excellence, and safety come first.
- Recruiter notice: We respectfully ask external recruiters and staffing agencies not to submit candidates. We only accept direct applications.
- Controls Install Lead / Working Supervisor (job title) - but we should not repeat as heading.
- Join the growing KBS Building Automation team! Our culture is rooted in integrity, innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences—giving you the opportunity to build a rewarding career in a growing and fast-moving industry.
That's a lot of prose; we can put under About the role.
Responsibilities:
Field Installation & Technical Duties (list items):
- Lead the installation of BAS and low-voltage control systems
- Run EMT, rigid, flex conduit, and cable tray systems
- Perform wire pulling, cable routing, and labeling
- Install and mount BAS control panels, controllers, sensors, relays, actuators, and field devices
- Terminate low-voltage wiring and verify proper connections
- Read and interpret blueprints, control drawings, one-lines, and technical specifications
- Assist with BAS startup, checkout, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate corrective actions
- Maintain accurate project documentation and create field red-line drawings
- Coordinate with electricians, HVAC contractors, and other trades onsite
Leadership & Supervisory Duties (list items):
- Lead and supervise 3-6 person field installation crews
- Assign daily tasks and maintain production schedules
- Ensure work is completed safely and according to project standards
- Conduct field quality inspections and enforce installation standards
- Mentor and train junior installers and apprentices
- Participate in performance evaluations and workforce development
- Coordinate manpower and material needs with project management
- Communicate project progress, delays, and field conditions to leadership
We can combine these under Responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of BAS, controls, low-voltage, or electrical installation experience
- Previous experience leading crews in commercial or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of BAS installation practices and control wiring
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and sequence of operations preferred
- Experience with conduit bending and installation
- Knowledge of startup and commissioning processes preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage field priorities
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Experience (platforms):
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms is a plus: Niagara Framework, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Trane, Alerton, Delta Controls, KMC Controls
We could treat Preferred Experience as Skills.
Skills:
- Experience with Niagara Framework, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Trane, Alerton, Delta Controls, KMC Controls (plus maybe conduit bending, OSHA, driver's license). But we already have conduit bending etc in Qualifications. Might move those to Skills.
Better: Qualifications = mandatory requirements (years experience, leading crews, understanding BAS installation, ability to read drawings, familiarity with HVAC, conduit bending, startup knowledge, organizational/communication skills, ability to work independently, OSHA cert, driver's license). Preferred Experience = Skills (platforms). Also maybe "Strong organizational and communication skills" is a skill but it's in Qualifications.
We'll keep Qualifications as above (including preferred items like familiarity with HVAC, conduit bending, startup knowledge, OSHA, driver's license). Skills = platforms list.
Benefits:
What KBS Offers:
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Paid time off and holidays
- Career advancement opportunities
- Training in advanced BAS technologies
- Exposure to cutting-edge smart building systems
- Opportunity to work with a rapidly growing national BAS organization
- Supportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and growth
Ideal Candidate paragraph:
"This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who Enjoys both leadership and hands-on field work Takes pride in quality installations Wants to grow into higher-level field management or project leadership Has a passion for technology, controls, and smart buildings Wants to help build and mentor the next generation of BAS installers"
We could incorporate that into About the role or maybe a separate section like "Ideal Candidate". But we only have set headings; we could put it under About the role as additional prose.
