Bartender - Tequila Cowboy, Pittsburgh

About the role

The Bartender will take drink orders, mix and serve them to guests and restaurant servers. You will maintain and enhance customer service quality, verify patron identification and age, and work closely with colleagues while following health and safety standards. The goal is to provide customers with a memorable experience to accelerate business development.

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare alcoholic beverages with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers and present bar/restaurant menus
• Help customers select food and beverages
• Take and serve orders, answer questions, and make product recommendations
• Collaborate with other bartenders and kitchen/wait staff
• Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months in bar-related positions preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma; food safety training is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

• Nightclub, bar, and/or lounge environment with public contact
• Fast-paced, high-volume, high-energy setting
• Part-time (less than 30 hours per week) with potential to exceed 30 hours, including overtime when approved
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a shift
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
• Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
