About the role

The Bartender/Server will provide exceptional customer service to all Club Members and guests through food and beverage and special event service for the University of Louisville Golf Club in Shelbyville, KY. This is a benefited position working 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders, serve food and beverages, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments.
• Complete all daily tasks and cleaning schedules assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Prep garnishes for drinks, stock bar, and maintain a clean work area.
• Check identification of customers in the bar area to ensure they meet all statutory regulations.
• Work both private and Club events.
• Must have good mobility and can lift heavy objects sometimes in excess of 30 pounds.
• Must efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Promote a friendly atmosphere for all Members and guests, as well as coworkers.
• Ensure operations comply with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to food and beverage sanitation, alcohol and tobacco, and ADA requirements.
• Perform other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good mobility and ability to lift heavy objects sometimes in excess of 30 pounds.
• Ability to handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in Culinary Science, Foodservice Systems Administration/Management, Hotel/Restaurant Management.

Schedule

30 hours per week
