Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus, providing service as described.
- Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures, including state/federal regulations.
- Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties and suggestively upsell products to guests.
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size.
- Verify guests' IDs to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
- Communicate with guests regarding drink cutoffs and address any customer requests or concerns.
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary.
- Contact management if unable to resolve issues or make decisions beyond standard scope.
- Request additional product or restock as needed.
- Handle cash accurately and manage the issued bank at the bar.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assist with cooler organization.
Qualifications
- Six months or more experience bartending.
- Accurate cash handling skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours.
- Bartending school preferred.
