Bartender | Part-Time | Webster Hall

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus, providing service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures, including state/federal regulations.
• Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties and suggestively upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size.
• Verify guests' IDs to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
• Communicate with guests regarding drink cutoffs and address any customer requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary.
• Contact management if unable to resolve issues or make decisions beyond standard scope.
• Request additional product or restock as needed.
• Handle cash accurately and manage the issued bank at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assist with cooler organization.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
