About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality through genuine, personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to guest departure. You will prepare perfect beverages in a timely manner while understanding and anticipating guest needs. This role is ideal for someone quick on their feet with an engaging attitude who thrives on making meaningful connections and stepping up to win the day.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
• Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu
• Be accurate in order taking, confirming all special requests
• Master the bar details to enhance guest conversations
• Work collaboratively with restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Assist guests with concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
• Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
• Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control
• Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
• Lock up and store all beverages, food, and other equipment items; deposit cash drops and secure bank

Requirements

• Engaging and welcoming personality
• Current bartender certification or appropriate license
• Knowledgeable in the latest trends around mixology
• Descriptive and sales-oriented
• 2-4 years of bartender experience
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
• Excellent communication skills

Pay

$7.25 per hour (base rate). Actual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
