Bartender (Part Time)

About the role

We’re looking for enthusiastic, fun, and energetic people who take the work seriously, but not themselves. The Bartender will make alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by following recipes and deliver high-quality food and drinks in a clean, friendly environment while ensuring exceptional service consistent with Mainsail Lodging & Development’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations
• Demonstrate knowledge of all beverages, including liquors and wines
• Serve guests efficiently and courteously, following proper steps of service
• Prepare cocktails as trained by Innovation Management
• Keep necessary tools (pen, corkscrew, bar tools, etc.) on hand to run the shift
• Pair wines with meals
• Understand the full menu, including prep time, preparations, sauces, allergies, and accompaniments
• Run light food when applicable, including carrying warm or hot plates
• Collect payment for food and beverages served
• Follow practices to ensure safe and responsible serving of alcohol
• Monitor and communicate specials, soups, drinks, and low-stock items
• Handle station duties and escalate issues to management to avoid impacting guest experience
• Follow cash handling procedures and explain shortages or overages
• Maintain bar area, clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
• Perform other duties as requested by management to service guests

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher
• Previous hospitality experience required
• Minimum 2-year bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant, preferably in the Southwest or Florida area
