Bartender (Part-Time)

About the Role

The Latitude Bartender is on the forefront of resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar to catering and special events, this position requires an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while upholding standards and authentically delivering the Latitude Margaritaville lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operations
• Assist servers with alcohol-related menu questions
• Explain the chef’s specialties, identify appropriate wines, and answer food preparation questions
• Protect establishment and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, including tracking kitchen inventory
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen, recording resident choices, special dietary needs, and requests
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering resident choices from bar and kitchen, including accompaniments and condiments
• Respond to additional resident requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process
• Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing spills
• Properly open and pour wine at tableside
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, and returning credit card slips
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor
• Fill in for absent staff as needed
• Assist with special events as required
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
• Promptly address customer service issues and escalate to management when necessary

• Maintain a high level of resident contact throughout service hours

• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules
• Maintain a pristine dining area at all times

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED preferred
• TIPS certified
• Previous bartending experience required
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of Margaritaville brands of liquor and beer
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Open availability required

Pay

$12.00 per hour plus tips

Schedule

• Part-time (20–29 hours weekly)
• Evening, holiday, and weekend availability required
• Open availability required
