Bartender (On-Call)

About the role

The Bartender (On-Call) position at The Hotel Zags requires a dynamic individual who can handle the responsibilities of setting up, mixing drinks, serving, and cleaning the bar area. This role is integral to ensuring high-quality service, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company standards and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following company guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls.
• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner, maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ring guest checks, collect cash, and process credits and room charges in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
• Ensure established pars are maintained.
• Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Physical demands include lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 lbs., bending/kneeling, and continuous standing for 100% of the workday.
• Ability to operate cash register and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Highly organized and able to pay attention to detail in a busy environment.
• Ability to handle stressful and emotionally charged situations with tact and understanding.
• Able to accurately count cash and operate a cash register.

Qualifications

• Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified.

Skills

• Knowledge of state liquor laws.
