Bartender - On-Call (360 Steakhouse, Harrah's)

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous beverage refreshment service to guests.
• Deliver a great experience for every guest through courteous interaction.
• Stay informed of continually changing promotional beverages, events, and services.
• Maintain integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
• Serve as an ambassador of goodwill at customer and public relations functions; appear in publicity photos.
• Promote casino events and programs.
• Provide personalized service and use guest names.
• Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to guests and servers.
• Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe.
• Communicate with beverage servers and present drinks to guests or servers as required.
• Slice and pit fruit as required.
• Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils according to established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ensuring correct change and proper accounting for all sales.
• Maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment and under stress as business volume increases.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mathematical ability, including counting money and making correct change.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10-hour shifts.
• Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs (liquor stock, beer cases/kegs).
• Ability to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items, bend, stoop, and twist while preparing cocktails.
• Use hand motions for preparing drinks, cleaning, and wiping bar areas.
• Able to work in constricting areas.
• Respond to visual and oral cues.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in environments with dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds, and varying air quality.
