About the Role

Operate a small full-service bar, mixing and serving a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar, utensils, equipment, and work area. Monitor beverage inventory, record sales, and submit restocking requirements to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Record sales, make change, or prepare charge slips following operating procedures.
• Keep bar, utensils, equipment, and work area clean and sanitary.
• Maintain records of beverage quantities dispensed and submit restocking requirements.
• Use tact and courtesy to deny further sales to unruly or intoxicated patrons.
• Monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
• Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation and medical examination.
• Pre-employment physical required.
• Must meet state/local age requirements for serving alcohol at the time of appointment.
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
• Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
• Skill in mixing and serving beverages.
• Shifts may include mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Pay

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. Employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week. Regular full-time, part-time, and flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay and extra pay for shifts ending after 3:00 PM.
