Bartender - Hotel Santa Barbara

Hotel Santa Barbara is a charming and historic boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, situated a half-mile from the beach and Stearns Wharf and a block from the Paseo Nuevo outdoor shopping center.

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Take customers’ food and drink orders
• Ensure all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner
• Make and serve drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls
• Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and documenting all required information
• Process payments from guests and ensure accuracy of guest checks and payment methods
• Comply with all state and local liquor regulations
• Create a pleasurable dining experience for all guests

Requirements

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Experience in making classic cocktails
• Basic math skills (able to add, subtract, and count change back to customers)
• Legible handwriting, strong customer service skills, and oral communication skills
• Valid Operator’s License
• Craft cocktail and high-volume experience is a must
• U.S. Work Authorization (required)

Qualifications

• One year of bartending experience (preferred)
• Wine experience and/or certification (a plus)

Pay

$20.00 per hour
