About the Role

This position is dedicated to providing exceptional quality service to guests by offering expert knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixed drinks, including preparation methods. The Bartender assists with product inventory, bar supplies, and objectives set by management while being part of the pre-opening team.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks, including origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of the wine list, classic cocktail recipes, and specialty drinks.
• Deliver quick and efficient beverage service, ensuring proper pouring and mixing according to established recipes while adhering to state and city alcohol laws and Four Seasons service standards.
• Confirm guest orders, including special requests, using the resort’s point-of-sale system; verify completed orders against original requests.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle guest concerns and requests urgently and appropriately.
• Assist in drink development, promotions, special events, and product inventory; process log entries for voids and spillage.
• Cut and prepare fruits and other beverage garnishments; complete any other related tasks as assigned.
• Follow bar policies, procedures, and daily checklists.
• Ensure professional, courteous, and efficient guest service, greeting each guest promptly with eye contact and a smile.

Requirements

• 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment.
• Working knowledge of Micros POS system is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and personal presentation skills.
• Guest-focused mentality with an understanding of guest preferences.
• Confident, outgoing personality with a can-do approach to requests.
• Ability to stand continuously for 8+ hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
