BARTENDER - Full Time (Casino)

About the role

A bartender provides beverages to guests while maintaining exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Give prompt, pleasant, courteous, and efficient service.
• Utilize alcohol awareness training while acknowledging all guests with a prompt and friendly greeting.
• Anticipate all guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
• Verify legal drinking age of guests.
• Complete all side work duties and ensure work area is prepared for the succeeding shift.
• Maintain cleanliness behind the bar.
• Offer unique service while sustaining a level of professionalism that encourages guests to return.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior bartending experience required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
• Must have alcohol awareness training and be certified.
• Ability to be physically mobile and stand/walk during shifts.
• Must be able to move around in small spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Requires bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle money and make correct change utilizing a POS system.
• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and air quality.
• Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
• Possess effective learning skills.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.

Pay

$9.00 per hour (plus tips).
