Bartender, Full Time

Brief Summary of Job

Responsible for all aspects of the bar area, including courteously and efficiently waiting on guests while crafting and serving beverages, setting up and stocking product for shifts, maintaining storage areas, and cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining equipment, utensils and tools.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and upsell products.
• Create and serve drinks as per guest requests.
• Process all cash and charge transactions according to house policy.
• Stock side station with garnishments, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers.
• Aid Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes.
• Stock beverages and mixes for next shift.
• Close checks and run reports at the end of each shift.
• Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times.
• Adequately adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping.

Knowledge/Education/Experience

• Must meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages.
• Minimum one (1) year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant or Hotel F&B outlet required.
• High school or equivalent education.
• Micros knowledge preferred.
• Ability to operate a computerized point of sale system (Micros).
• TB clearance card required.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements

• English speaking or bilingual.
• Operate cash register.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
• Dependable.

Pay

Rate of Pay: $28.79/hour
