Position Overview Reporting to the General Manager, we are looking for a seasoned, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our guests. The Bartender will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients and handle basic cleaning duties. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers, listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink ordersPlanning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specialsSelecting and making ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcoholAdhering to all food safety and quality regulations.Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash registerResponsible for maintaining exceptions service levelsMust continually strive for sales growth by having ongoing knowledge of all current menusBe perceptive, proactive, and engaging. Anticipate your guest’s needsSet the tone for success with position attitude and sincere enthusiasmEngaging in clear, consistent communications with leadership and restaurant staffEnsure that each customer is served efficiently and effectivelyMust be a good example while working alongside team membersBe able to communicate restaurant and hotel promotions, local attractions, and point of interest Required Skills High levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.Strong organizational, prioritization skills and ability to work well under pressureCommunicate clearly, concisely, and openly.Written communication in a clear and concise manner.Exude high energy and demonstrate a knack for building rapport with guests and colleagues.Exhibits organizational abilities and shows a natural skill for multi-tasking, prioritizing, and anticipating needs.Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally, fluency in additional languages a plus.Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
