Bartender - DJT International Airport

About the role

As a Bartender at Coastal Cask Restaurant, you will deliver First Class Service to every guest, business partner, and peer while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe bar environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and provide menu information while identifying opportunities for additional sales.
• Follow recipes and directions for mixing beverages accurately.
• Process transactions correctly through the POS system.
• Respond appropriately to customer concerns and follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory beverages and operational supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
• Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills using available training materials.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, including sweeping and mopping.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those related to food safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-year experience bartending required; food and beverage experience preferred.
• Knowledge of math for cost calculation, making change, and cash handling procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to work unsupervised for extended periods and demonstrate sound judgment with customers and peers.
• Ability to work various shifts in a 7-day-a-week, 365-day-a-year team-oriented environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
• Self-starter capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, reach, climb ladders, and walk long distances.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures.
