Airport Lounge Bartender
$200 sign-on bonus and a $100 monthly commute stipend for full-time employees.

Full-time Bartender position at The Club lounge in Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
Pay
$18.00 per hour.
Schedule
- 1:00 PM–11:00 PM Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays
- 5:45 AM–3:00 PM Fridays
- 4 ten-hour shifts per week
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of customer service for the Lounge and maintain a clean, healthy environment
- Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Arrange bar/cart supplies and glasses for attractive displays
- Clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, bars, work areas, and tables
- Prepare and/or sell food items
- Take inventory, review stock, and requisition supplies
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies (ice, glassware, napkins, straws)
- Attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
- Report accidents and injuries in a timely manner
- Comply with company safety, risk management, and brand standards
- Attend designated training programs (classroom and virtual)
- Interact professionally with airline passengers in a premier clubroom/bar environment
- Monitor number of alcoholic beverages served and alert management to potential issues
- Provide full bar service including wine, beer, and crafted cocktails
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory agency requirements
- Restock wine, beer, spirits, food, beverages, snacks, coffee, cups, glasses, and ice
- Complete paperwork related to daily liquor usage, inventory, and orders
Requirements
- Ability to pass airport authority security background check
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service
- Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and strong verbal communication skills
- Able to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Essential Job Functions
- Cooperate with peers, customers, and management of diverse backgrounds
- Read, analyze, and complete compliance documents (e.g., Alcohol Management Certification, Liquor License requirements)
- Pass and maintain required licenses and certifications (e.g., state liquor seller/server certification, food handler certification)
- Stand during entire scheduled shift (up to 10 hours)
- Handle stress in a fast-paced work environment
- Speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) including computing discounts and percentages
- Motivate team members to achieve desired results
- Solve practical problems and address passenger/customer issues
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Perform physical tasks: bend, climb, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, walk
- Lift 40 pounds to a height of 40 inches without assistance
- Push/pull 120 pounds with a wheeled cart
- Perform tasks safely to prevent injury and avoid damage to facilities/equipment
- Follow all safety, health, and liquor regulations
- Maintain personal appearance and grooming for a favorable corporate and customer image
- Pass security background check and obtain airport clearance
- Report to work regularly and on time
