Bartender - Beechmont Country Club

About the role

Beechmont Country Club, located in Beachwood, OH, is seeking a driven Full-Time Bartender to join its team. We welcome retired individuals who enjoy friendly conversation and are passionate about serving our members. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Learn and memorize the names and drink preferences of regular members to provide proactive, personalized service.
• Mix and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beer, and wine according to standard recipes and club-specific preferences.
• Assist with food service in the bar area, take reservations, and occasionally support high-volume private events.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including preparing garnishes, restocking inventory, and ensuring all glassware is polished and sanitized.
• Strictly adhere to state liquor laws by verifying member identification and monitoring for signs of intoxication.

Requirements

• Must have related experience in food and beverage; club or restaurant environment preferred.
• Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws.
• Must have food and beverage, à la carte, and banquet experience.
• Must have proven bartender experience.
• Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
• Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a strong customer/guest orientation.
• Must be of legal age to craft/serve alcoholic beverages in the state of Ohio.

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• Often required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally required to balance, stoop, twist upper body, kneel, and climb.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards.
• Noise level is typically moderate to loud.
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday seasons.
• Work weekends and holidays.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate up to $20, plus a commission program; commensurate with verifiable experience and in-person mixology interview.
