Job Summary As Bartender, you are responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar. You are also responsible for creating an enjoyable experience for our guests while providing friendly, accurate and efficient service. Responsibilities Warmly greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explaining all specials, promotions and food items on the menuPreparing drinks to industry and brand standardsHaving a thorough understanding of service and timing standards and serve guests per these established standardsMaintaining a knowledge of food pairings and recommended wines or beverages that go well with appetizers, entrees and dessertsMemorizing and promoting daily specialsMaintaining a knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients and prep timePerform responsible alcohol service per brand standardsWorking in a team environment, assist other Servers/Team Members as neededEntering all orders into the POS Qualifications Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 30 pounds Food Handlers Card Required1-year previous bartender experience required Benefits/Perks Excellent benefits include: Medical, dental, life, PTO, and 401k with company match for full-time associatesWe offer an excellent travel discount program.Opportunity to grow, we promote from within Excel Hotel Group is a fully integrated property ownership, management, and development company enjoying exciting growth.
