Bartender

About the role

The Pacific Catch, Inc. family is seeking Bartenders who embody exceptional service and hospitality. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with flexible schedules and weekend availability required. Compensation is $19.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Treat Guests with first-class service and hospitality
• Present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• Take orders, promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience
• Up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS
• Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Avoid spills and accidents by maintaining cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.)
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
• Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

Physical requirements

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
