Bartender AM/PM (Full-Time)

About the role

The bartender will provide efficient, friendly customer service and maintain a clean, professional appearance in our Neighborhood Services Restaurant. He/She will ensure guests are satisfied in a prompt, timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar area.
• Provide silverware and condiments prior to food being presented at the bar area.
• Clean and reset the bar area as guests depart or after drink preparation is completed.
• Proper bar setup and breakdown.
• Triple sink procedures.
• Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff professionally at all times.
• Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Work well with a diverse Front of House and Back of House staff.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements, including carding and consumption limits.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and promptly record all transactions in the Micros system.
• Maintain guest tabs and process payments promptly.
• Monitor pars.
• Sell and upsell products.
• Work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience; high‑volume & casual environment preferred.
• Availability for AM and PM shifts.
• Commitment to quality service and strong food‑ and‑beverage knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.
• Unexpired Food Handler and TABC certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors as required.
