About the role

The Bartender is responsible for maintaining the bar, taking drink orders for our members and guests, and assisting the Food and Beverage Management team as directed.

Essential Duties

• Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order
• Prepares drinks for food servers and serves directly to members and guests
• May be required to serve meals, bus or set tables if necessary
• Responsible for maintaining the bar area in clean/sanitary condition and keeping it stocked of glassware, product, and garnishes
• Maintains and cleans bar equipment daily and as directed (espresso machine, blender, etc.)
• Reports any broken or damaged equipment to the Bar Manager or the Manager on Duty
• Adheres to local and national liquor laws
• Assists Bar Manager in taking inventory
• Responsible for securing bar and cash bank at beginning and end of shift for next scheduled bartender
• Other duties as needed by the business

Qualifications

• Must have great customer service and interpersonal skills
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Knowledge of food, wine and service etiquette
• Ability to mix all types of alcoholic drinks and know the proper procedures for handling and serving mixed drinks
• Be able to work quickly and methodically in fast-paced environments

Education and Experience

• 1-2 years of Bartending experience (preferred)
• High school Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
• Standing for long periods of time
• Ability to work outside in the summer months

Pay

$27-$31 an hour depending on experience. The club is non-tipping.
