Bark Blowing Technician

About the role

We are seeking a candidate with experience operating a bark mulch blower. The machine is a Finn BB1208 mounted on an under-CDL F-650 with an automatic transmission and air brakes. While prior experience with this exact machine is not required, familiarity with some type of bark blower is necessary—we will provide training on the specific equipment. You must also be able to operate a wheel loader to load the truck.

This role includes seasonal flexibility: when bark mulch work is not in season, you will work on other landscape crews as a laborer. Snow plowing experience in trucks or heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Finn BB1208 bark mulch blower mounted on an F-650 truck
• Operate a wheel loader to load the truck with mulch
• Work on landscape crews as a laborer during off-season periods
• Perform snow plowing duties when applicable (experience a plus)

Requirements

• Experience operating a bark mulch blower or similar equipment
• Ability to operate a wheel loader
• Willingness to work on other landscape crews as needed
• Dependable, people-oriented, and adaptable to changing tasks
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Open to applicants without a high school diploma/GED or college degree
• Military experience encouraged

Pay

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, 10-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime available
