Barista PM

Duties and responsibilities

• Must be passionate about food, ice cream, coffee and pastries
• Learn and be knowledgeable of the food and beverage menus
• Prepare retail area and barista bar for morning, afternoon and evening service
• Ensure all guests are well taken care of
• Monitor quality control and guest satisfaction
• Able to interact socially with guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Take guests orders, package food, drinks and pastries
• Learn standardized drink recipes and follow instructions
• Use and maintain and clean a space and quality espresso machine
• Confident and professional salesmanship
• Cash handling of guests checks including credit card payments utilizing a POS system
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
• Follow recipes to maintain consistency
• Minimal food preparation to include the cleaning and cutting of fruit, prepping almond milk and cold brew
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
• Must adhere to sanitation and proper food safety protocol
• Answering and directing phone calls in a professional manner
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
• Close attention to detail
• Must adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policy and regulations
• Always be pressed and tailored, complying to the dress code policy
• Performs up to the company standards, expectations and policies
• Perform other duties as directed

Qualifications

• Texas Food Handlers certificate
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Flexible availability in scheduling
• Capacity to multitask
• Barista skills are required

Working conditions

• Working in a restaurant setting behind a bar
• May be working in close proximity to co-workers
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, minor burns, slipping and tripping

Physical requirements

• Required to walk and stand for the entirety of shift
• Minimal lifting is required
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
• Frequent hand washing
• Must be able to hear and talk
