Barista - Part Time

About the role

This position involves preparing coffee beverages and food items, operating the cash register, and providing courteous customer service. It requires maintaining a clean and safe environment, stocking merchandise, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee drinks and food according to established procedures.
• Operate cash register to process various payment methods efficiently.
• Stock and rotate items, maintaining proper displays.
• Assist customers by communicating store programs, specials, and coupons.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the department.
• Follow security, cash handling, and food safety policies.
• Support other departments as needed based on customer service requirements.
• Adhere to PPE, safety, and guest experience guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred; retail or related experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, stooping, and twisting.
• The work environment involves varied temperatures and moderate noise levels.
