About the role

At Blank Street, we're on a mission to become the defining food and beverage brand of our generation, built on a matcha-forward menu done obsessively right, a design aesthetic people stop to photograph, and a high-volume format that never cuts corners on quality or hospitality. As part of the founding LA team, you'll have outsized influence on how Blank Street shows up—and first access to growth opportunities as we expand across the city and beyond.

Baristas at Blank Street do a lot more than make drinks; they set the tone for the whole experience. We're looking for people who genuinely care about hospitality, bring great energy to busy shifts, and pay attention to the small details that make a big difference. You'll be working with a tight-knit team that takes pride in what they do, serving a focused menu, making drinks the right way, and creating moments that keep people coming back.

Responsibilities

• Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming, and engaging hospitality, turning every customer into a regular
• Be an integral part of our world-class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times
• Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers
• Continue to train and evolve with the company, driving ever-higher standards and improving processes
• Set your team up for success by mastering company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes

Requirements

• 1+ years' experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality, retail, or coffee
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• Part-time: 15–25 hours per week, 3 days per week, and must be able to work 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Full-time: 30–40 hours per week, 4–5 days per week, and must be able to work 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (Blank Street participates in E-Verify)
