Barista Lead

Hourly pay range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

About the role

Welcome all guests and make them feel happy they came. Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas. Serve ready-to-eat foods including pastries, muffins, biscotti, bagels, sandwiches, and salads. Always serve guests with a caring and happy attitude.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to all shifts in proper uniform (non-slip shoes and name tag) with a professional appearance.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and ask for help when needed.
• Support the Supervisor with inventory counts and maintain a strong commitment to guest experience.
• Prioritize safety, build respectful relationships with teammates and guests, and follow directions from the Chef, Front of the House Manager, and Catering Manager.
• Train and support new staff during their transition.
• Assign and maintain cleaning schedules and checklists for shifts.
• Ensure all baristas adhere to drink recipes and provide accurate orders according to allergen guidance.
• Maintain proper order-taking processes and set up all equipment needed for service.
• Clean and sanitize work and service areas; set stations to execute guest service and satisfaction.
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, order and stock supplies or retail products.
• Operate cash register and be familiar with self-service kiosks.
• Maintain product inventory to established levels; recognize, restock, and rotate product.
• Smile, greet, and serve customers, making them feel welcome.
• Complete necessary HACCP documentation to ensure safe temperature control.
• Display merchandise in an attractive manner; weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for customers.
• Stock, clean, and organize coolers in an attractive manner; label and display signs for all items.
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow all safety rules to actively prevent accidents.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
