Barista -Brightspot - Rotating Saturdays- FT - 8:30am-5:00pm

About the role

Reports to the Retail Manager. A Barista must possess the ability to read, understand and follow directions, recipes, and work assignments. This position will show a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions. Numerical ability is necessary for cashing out customers, recipe preparation, and proper measuring ingredients. Good motor coordination and manual dexterity are required for various work routines such as preparing food items and serving customers. The Barista will be able and willing to work flexible hours. Must be patient toward guests, staff, patients, and family members at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Prepares beverages and food items according to recipes.
• Helps prep all areas of Café.
• Operates computerized cash register system to ring up purchases.
• Finalizes cash and non-cash methods of payment and follows established cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Makes sure the customers are being taken care of and the department looks great at all times.
• Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Fulfills Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
• Practices safety, infection control, and emergency procedures according to facility policies.
• Absorbs and communicates information from supervisors and co-workers.
• Assists in the receiving and storing food and supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Licensure or other certifications: None required.
• Minimum Experience: One (1) year related experience and/or training in food production.
• Preferred Licensure or other certifications: None preferred.
• Preferred Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred Experience: None preferred.
