About the Café

The Brick Walk Café is a fast-casual restaurant offering snacks, lunches, and healthier choices, all prepared fresh daily. It features an ice cream sundae bar and coffee shop, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Located just off Bestor Plaza, the café operates from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the summer season.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and stock items and supplies throughout and at the end of each shift.
• Prepare drinks to order, following specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
• Maintain professionalism in a high-volume setting at all times.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Clean and sanitize food surfaces, ensuring a neat, clean, and orderly (NCO) workspace throughout and at the end of each shift.
• Perform inventory checks during and at the end of shifts, communicating specific needs to supervisors and managers.
• Receive and process customer payments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Pay

Compensation for this position is $10.70/hour plus tipped earnings. Employees scheduled for non-tipped work (20% or more of their shift), attending required events like orientation or training, or not averaging minimum wage with combined tipped income will be paid a minimum wage of $16.00/hour.

Schedule

This is a seasonal position starting annually in June and concluding in August, with potential for pre- or post-season work based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift options generally include six- or eight-hour shifts with start times varying between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Housing

No employer-provided housing is available for this position. Applicants should secure independent housing or reside within a commutable distance.
